I can proudly say I'm a Potterhead (fan of Harry Potter), so when I found out a new Harry Potter book and play was coming out, my love for all that world returned and once again everything sourrounding me was related to Harry Potter. I started this book with a lot of expectations and most of them were fulfilled, this an intense story and I love that so most of the time I was in the need to know what happened next. "Well, there are times I wish you weren't my son.
There's a silence. Albus nods. Pause. Harry realizes what he's said .
           No I didn't mean...
Albus: Yes, you did." Quotes like this were the things that kept me going on with the story with such an intrigue. J. K Rowling is back and in a very unique way and I appreciate that because after I finished the book I wished I was in London so I could see the play and return to these characters and story I love. In this book we have the characters we already know and new ones, created in a special way that were as memorable as their antecessors. I loved this new characters and I want more of them.

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child by J.K Rowling (with John Tifanny & Jack Thorne) happens nineteen years after the Hogwarts Battle, we follow now Albus Potter (the second son of Harry) and his trip through his Hogwarts years and how not everything there is as great as we'd been shown and the consequences this brings. All this with the help of his friend Scorpius Malfoy who might not be who he claims to.

I would like to say that the character I liked the most was Scorpius, because he's loyal and innocent, he wants to harm no one rather he wants to help everyone but he knows his limits which make him a character who we can empathize with because we all have flaws. I think that I liked him very much because I can see pieces of me in him, we share some aspects that are essential for our personality. For example, there is a part in the story where Scorpius declares "All I ever wanted to do was go to Hogwarts and have a mate to get up to mayhem with. Just like Harry Potter. And I got his son. How crazily fortunate is that...you're my best friend, Albus." For a long time, all I wanted was to have a best friend and it was hard but I found it, in the person I expected the less. What this quote is trying to say is that life can surprise you in ways you can't imagine and so this book has done the same to me. I like a lot the son of the character I hated the most in the previous books.

Another thing I like a lot about the book is that the play with the time turners (a small device which you can use to turn back in time). I really like time-traveling and I like how the authors play with the consequences time travel brings and the responsibility it has because time is no thing you can play with but you can learn from the past to make things right in the present. Although, there are things that logically and scientifically aren't right, I have to remember that we are in a fantasy world and anything can happen. As Scorpius says "The smallest moment, the smallest change, it creates ripples. And we've created really bad ripples." We can see that in this world there are laws that limit time travel.

It was until the end that I wasn't convinced with the things that were happening and how the problem was solved but I think that the authors were just trying to show us that these characters aren't perfect and they have flaws "Albus: And then when we caught her... I wanted to kill her.
Harry: You had watched her murder Craig, you were angry, it's okay." In the situation they were before I would've felt the same as Albus, though I don't know if I would have stopped. We all have flaws and we need to know them before we do something we regret.

All in all, I really liked the story of this book and the characters that were presented now. I would like to have more of them. J.K. Rowling keeps surprising me and I can say that she is one of favorite authors. To potterheads I would highly recommend the book, it's worth the time and we get more of our beloved Harry, Ron and Hermione in a way we've never seen them.
